BOUTIQUE CARE, BECAUSE YOU CARE

The Extra Mile Layoff

Layoffs are tough on everyone. Give your people a softer landing you can both feel better about.
You've made the difficult but necessary decision to lay off a portion of your company.
Not because the business is struggling, but because AI is allowing you to do more with fewer.
You've been generous with severance, benefits, cash, and tech.
The only thing missing? A human to help them adjust to the outside and get their feet under themselves.
And not a human who only knows this stuff in theory, but a relatable one who's been living what your employees are about to.

I'm Emily Burnett, former tech manager turned author and lover of life in all its uncertainty—and I've had a lot of it.

In 2022, I chose to leave the safety of a cush tech job for my own stuff. I've navigated nontraditional health benefits, gotten scrappy for income, and written two books for an employee audience about autonomy, taking risks, and creating a meaningful life/work.

I love helping others face the future with financial plans, more self-trust, resilience, and a sense of adventure.

Professional Emily with a fancy-schmancy tech manager job and a burgeoning financial coaching business on the side.

Exploring Emily in Greece, four months out of corporate. Feeling wetter and more alive, than I'd felt in years. Becoming a writer.

Employees get

  • They get critical help organizing their finances in a way most people never have, a crystal clear picture of their runway, and multiple financial scenarios to see how long their severance and savings can last.*
  • They get a reframe of what's possible on the other side.
  • They have the opportunity to ask any question they want of a former tech manager → financial coach → author who's been living outside the corporate safety net for years.
*You can see more about what the experience looks like (from a currently-employed person's perspective), click here.

Employers get

  • The people you've needed to lay-off are people who've helped build your dream; you get to feel good about referring them to a dreamer who wants to help them tap into their own.
  • You sleep better at night knowing you've gone the extra mile to help your employees and their families get their feet under them.
  • You're not doing it for the PR, but sometimes doing the right thing by your people just is good for PR.

It's so simple for you to set up:

1. We have a brief conversation to assess fit, address questions, and determine how many spots you need.*
2. I send a contract for you to sign along with a Net 30 invoice.
3. Once the contract is signed, you direct interested or eligible employees to book directly with my scheduling system using a URL or code that will be provided to you.
4. Employees have 3 months from the date of purchase to use their sessions.
*Minimum 30 spots at a package rate of $500/spot. Unused spots expire after 3 months from your purchase. Capacity is limited so I can provide boutique service to you and your former employees.
